چکیده

Abstract The photocatalytic performances of three Fe 2 O 3 –CeO nanocomposites were investigated toward the sulfur removal from a petroleum heavy gas oil (HGO) sample. composites prepared by different routes namely; auto-combustion, post-precipitation and precipitation. physio-chemical features optical properties presented determined via proper analytical techniques. Formation solid solution in all was verified XRD analysis. These then employed photo-desulfurization HGO their activities at several operating conditions. highest desulfurization exploit (91.5%) could be detected for composite which auto-combustion technique, denoted as (Fe 20 Ce 80 ) ac . This maximum percentage obtained under visible light irradiation following optimum conditions: 15 g/L (as photocatalyst dose), time 6 h 2:1 H to ratio. subsequent implementation solvent extraction step using N -methyl pyrrolidone needed attain deepest HGO. efficiencies against process discussed spot textural characteristics well available oxygen vacancies through lattices structures.

High photocatalytic activity of Fe2O3/TiO2 nanocomposites prepared by photodeposition for degradation of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid

Two series of Fe2O3/TiO2 samples were prepared via impregnation and photodeposition methods. The effect of preparation method on the properties and performance of Fe2O3/TiO2 for photocatalytic degradation of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) under UV light irradiation was examined. The Fe2O3/TiO2 nanocomposites prepared by impregnation showed lower activity than the unmodified TiO2, mainly...

CTAB-assisted of Fe2O3/CeO2 nanosized prepared by coprecipitation method

Recently, cerium oxide (CeO2) nanoparticles have been widely used in engineering andmedical sciences due to the diversity of their applications. Fe-Ce nanoparticles were synthesized bysimple co-precipitation method via iron nitrate (Fe(NO3)3.9H2O) and cerium nitrate (Ce(NO3)3.6H2O) asprecursor in the presence of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) surfactant. The samples wer...
